Algeria: Court to sentence Mallal on November 7th, The Attorney General demands 3 years jail time and fine

Algeria – The court will sentence the head of the Independent Union of Electricity and Gas Workers Rauf Malal on November 7th, after the Attorney-General demanded in a session held by the court yesterday to sentence him for  three-year in jail and a fine him 100 million centimes, on charges of illegally obtaining administrative documents.” The Arab Trade Union Confederation, denounced earlier in a statement, what Mallal was facing, calling for respect for the Constitution, which guarantees freedom of association, as well as respect for international conventions ratified by Algeria on the protection of workers representatives and trade unionists. including Convention No. 135, considering what happened with unionist Raouf Mellal is a clear  violation of ILO Conventions 87 and 98.
