Algeria – Algerias judiciary council on Wednesday issued its ruling to end the dispute between Algerian Airways and the National Union of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians. The court considered the strike that was launched since Tuesday evening by aircraft maintenance workers as illegitimate. The company said in a statement that the courts decision obliged the maintenance workers and technicians not to obstruct the activity of the institution”. For its part, the General Directorate of Air Algerie confirmed that it is committed to constructive dialogue with all social partners, within the framework of the law, explaining that this endeavor serves the company and the workers alike.
