Egypt – The workers of the first saving bulbs factory in southern Sinai called on the authorities to reopen it, as it was closed two months after its opening in the Sinai industrial zone. Dozens of workers protested front of the building of South Sinai Governorate, to demand the governor to intervene to stop the intransigence of social security and manpower officials, which led the owner of the factory to close it and lay off workers. Huraith Hashim, one of the workers at the factory, said that they were so happy that the factory was opened in their area as it provided employment opportunities for dozens of young people, explaining that the insurance refuses to insure the contract amount of 500 pounds, despite the approval of the workers of that contract. An official source in the factory said that the owner of the factory will open the factory in city of 6October, after the intransigence of officials with him.
