Tunisia – The General Union of Higher Education and Scientific Research affiliated to the Tunisian General Union threatened to go on strike on December 10, 2017 to demand the professional and social rights of teachers. The teachers of higher education suffer from deteriorating financial conditions, demanding a generous increase in their salaries. They also demand the implementation of previous agreements related to grants and incentives on salaries and enable them to promotions and new assignments.
