Yemen: Yemen center supports the demands of Petro Masila workers

YEMEN – _ Yemen Center for Human Rights Studies said it supports the demands of Petro Masila workers who have been dismissed, calling on the political leadership to oblige the management of the company to return the dismissed workers and respect for human rights. The center said in its statement that 500 engineers, employees and technicians working for the Petro Msela Company have been dismissed, although the company has recovered its activity and is considered among the best national companies in terms of production and financial revenues. The company is currently exporting around 2 million crude oil per month and sells 400 thousand liters of diesel per day to the local market, which enables it to pay the salaries of its engineers, employees and workers. However, about 500 of them have been dismissed, including 200 from Aden and the rest from different governorates. The Yemen Center for Human Rights Studies called for the speedy handling of their case, they also stressed the importance of respecting the laws in force and the laws of the company and return all workers.
