Palestine: The deprivation of janitors from their wages for four months continue in Gaza hospitals and the Palestinian Unity Government ignores their protests

Protests by cleaning workers in Gaza Strip’s hospitals continue due to delayed payment of salaries for more than 4 months.

These protests have affected the normal functioning of the hospitals and the patients’ health conditions. The protesters have taken full responsibility for this tension and for the catastrophic situation in hospitals of the Palestinian Unity Government, which dealt with the problem with indifference and ignorance.

Nearly 1,000 workers are complaining of harsh living conditions as a result of being deprived of their salaries, appealing to the living forces to hold their responsibilities in the front of this crisis, which afflicts companies and their employees and puts patients’ lives at imminent risk.

It is noteworthy that janitors in hospitals began a partial strike last Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m., adding an hour each day until the Ministry of Health of the Palestinian Unity Government meets its commitments.
