The regression of the number of Saudi employees in the private sector

The number of Saudi employees in the private sector declined by 38,000 in the second quarter of 2017 compared to the same period last year.

The Kingdom employs about 10 million private sector employees, including 1.7 million Saudis and 8.3 million expatriates, 90% of expatriates whose monthly salary is 3,000 riyals, according to the latest social security statistics.

The Saudi king agreed this week to support the private sector by allocating 72 billion riyals ($ 19.2 billion) to implement his incentive plan.
