Libya: The banking forum calls for accelerating in the enactment of the e-labour law

The annual forum for the development of the banking sector in Libya called for accelerating the enactment of the e-labour law, calling for reducing the control of the public sector on payment services and preventing its monopoly.

The forum, in its last meeting in Tunis, which was attended by ministers; officials, experts and bankers, stressed the need to facilitate the granting of licenses to the private sector to provide electronic payment services and open the door to competitiveness to raise the quality of services provided to citizens. Moreover, it stressed the obligation of suppliers to accept e-payment in exchange of receiving foreign currency for supply, considering the electronic amount paid similar to cash payment and the incentive to use this method as an alternative to cash payment without the consequent change in the prices of goods.
