Workers and union banks agentsof industry and commerce raised the red badge since last Wednesday in protest against the decision of the General Directorate to reduce the number of employees and close a number of subsidiaries of the institution in the country.
The unions and employees of the bank considered that this unilateral decision as a dangerous precedent, that was imposed and dropped from the parent company in Paris, especially since the corporation makes huge profits annually.
The organizations unions warned that this will create serious and negative repercussions on all levels at this delicate stage, announcing that it will increase the pattern of protests in the coming days if the decision is not reversed.
