The workers of the Ceramica Sophia continue their protests against the decision of the head of the institution to dismiss 650 workers arbitrarily and transfer another group to Al-Asher“company, after the sale of the factory to a new investor.
The workers asked the Ministry of Investment and Manpower to investigate with the new investor and take all punitive measures against him. In addition, they asked them to ensure their rights, including compensation for the arbitrary dismissal without warning, which carries the owner of the company for a 4- month compensation of each worker. Moreover, this law provides for the payment of two months for each year of service and two months for not pre-warning workers.
