The trade union subsidiaries of several universities and higher schools have joined the initiative of a three-party bloc professors, students and workers to enter a strike on January 14 in all the countrys universities and boycott the regular post-holiday exams.
This strike will include the entire university’s body, which is composed of students, professors and all workers without exception, despite their different demands. However, despite their unity, they did not receive any response or any request to talk with the ministry.
On the other hand, the Minister of Higher Education threatened students, who are closing the doors of university institutions from definitive school drop-out and judicial follow-up. “We have ordered the heads of the Algerian universities to follow up the judicial proceedings of anyone, who is trying to close the university ,as well as dropping him or her out school definitively .
