Jordanian workers at Jordan-India Fertilizer Company (JIFCO) have been on strike since Sunday, asking for better living and working conditions.
Workers called on the implementation of the previous administration pledges to raise grants and professional allowances like any other mining company and the application of equality in salaries between Jordanian and foreigner workers in the company. These pledges have not been implemented by the management of the institution and overturned it, which forced the workers to carry out their legal strike.
