Algerian security assaults resident doctors protesting in “Mustafa Pasha” hospital

Security forces banned hundreds of resident doctors from marching outside “Mustafa Pasha” university hospital in Algiers, on Wednesday.

A large number of security forces cordoned off the hospital and closed all its entrances leading to the street and assaulted the protestors, who tried to get out, causing many injuries, some of them in serious condition before they were arrested within the coordination members of resident doctors.

Hundreds of doctors gathered in the hospital square, raising slogans and banners calling for better working conditions through incentive measures.

Doctors threatened to paralyze all emergency interests at the level of the hospital, in case of the non-realising of the arrested people.
