In Tunisia: Arab and international trade unions call for unified support for the Palestinian cause

The international and Arab trade union organizations meeting at the International Trade Union Forum in Tunis called for unifying the international trade union position in support of the Palestinian cause. These organizations pointed out that the unification of positions is through the preparation of steps in the international arena in rejection of the American decision which considered “Al-Quds” as the capital of Israel. Moreover, supporting the international boycotts of the Israeli products.
The representatives of the international and Arab unions stressed the importance of uniting all moral and material elements to put pressure on the international public opinion, in defence of the right and justice in the Palestinian cause, considering that the time has come for effective steps to deter the American decision on “Al-Quds”.
The forum was held on the occasion of the 72th anniversary of the founding of the Tunisian General Union of Labour(UGTT) in the presence of representatives of about 50 international and Arab trade union organizations. The Palestine Ambassador to Tunisia and member of the Palestinian Legislative Council “Azzam Al-Ahmad” participated in the forum, as well as the Assistant Secretary-General of the International Trade UnionConfederation,”Mamadou Diallo” and the representative of the United Nations in Tunisia, Diego Zorilla.
