A working session was held last week between the Jordanian Minister of Labor and the Executive Office of the General Federation of Trade Unions, presented by “Mazen Al-Maaytah”, in the presence of the chairman of the labor committee of the parliament. During this session, the Trade Union Party raised the workers situation issue and highlighted the problems that hinder the work and the appropriate plans to overcome them in order to achieve the objectives that would serve agood workand the workers interests.
This meeting was an opportunity to confirm the involvement of the Union in controlling the economic and social policies in the country and joint research in securing an idealistic and attractive work environment. Moreover, it was an opportunity to deepen in the study of laws and proposals concerning labor,workers, vocational training and social security ,as well as the study and review of the labor market’s regulation policies and the recruitment offoreign workers.
