An official report of the General Organization for Insurance revealed the exit of 558,716 migrant workers from the Saudi labor market, while the market witnessed the entry of about 121,789 Saudis in 2017.
The report pointed out that the number of Saudi active labor force increased from 1.862.118 to 1.983.907 with a growth rate of 6.5%, while the non-Saudi labor force decreased from 8.518.206 to 7.959.490, i.e. a decline of 7%.
It is noteworthy that the number of Saudis working in the private sector has risen as a result of the changing policies and initiatives launched by the Ministry of Labor and Social Development in several fields.
