On Monday morning (January 29th), trade unions and associations of road transport professionals in the east staged held an open-ended strike to protest against what it called successive increases in fuel prices.
Road traffic workers considered these increases as an attack on the remaining daily sustenance for the entire road transport profession.
A previous statement by the trade unions and syndicates said that the strike comes after the government’s nonadherence to its commitments to support the sectors workers,in front of the block of the social and economic horizons due to the fragile social and economic conditions of the eastern side.
