The Saudi Ministry of Labour and Social Development has launched recently the Wage Protection for Domestic Workers program for employers, which includes the issuance of a prepaid card for workers or domestic workers’ salaries upon their arrival to the kingdom.
According to the program, employers must subscribe to the specific product at the banks, and then enter this website www.musaned.com.sa, establish an electronic employment contract, determine the monthly salary of the worker, and then document the contract at the site and print a copy of it.
The program will cover all the domestic employees in the kingdom. Moreover, it will be compulsory in a gradual manner. In fact, the Ministry has given six months’ time limit to employers (individuals), who have employees currently in the kingdom to issue a prepaid card for their salaries, before the end of six months from the date of launch.
