The Italian Interior Ministry revealed that the Libyan immigrants occupied the fifth place in the list of nationalities of immigrants. This is the first time, in whichLibyans are presented in these numbers as immigrants coming to the European continent across the sea.
The Interior Ministry data showed that 4179 illegal migrants arrived in Italian shores last month. Compared to the same period in 2017, the number of migrants, especially those from Libya, has dropped by 26%.
The Interior Ministry highlighted the Eritrean migrants ranked top of the list of immigrants last month with 884 migrants, followed by Tunisians with 388 immigrants, followed by Pakistanis with 258 migrants, Nigerian nationality holders 209, and Libyans in fifth place.
