PALESTINE – Number of separation barriers in West Bank reached 98, which restricts movement of workers who have to cross these barriers to the occupied territories, either legally or illegally, according to statistics revealed by B’Tselem Israeli Human Rights organization.
According to a statement issued by the organization, over the past five years, more than 30 workers died as martyrs in result to humiliation practiced against them by Israelis while they were crossing the barriers.
The statement added that every day in morning hours, Israelis start humiliating Palestinian citizens and they go through restricted security measures.
These separation barriers are fenced, surrounded by cameras and search equipment that do not exist even in US airports, along with soldiers equipped with machine guns.
