BAHRAIN— Up to 80 per cent of kindergartens (KGs) in Bahrain operate without a license, according to director of Kindergartens union.
She explained that license of these KGs are expired and they have not renewed them yet.
She noted that most of those kindergartens accept and register children for the new academic year, get fees without the renewal of their licenses.
She explained that the union with the application of the law, calls on the Ministry of Education to check implementing legal procedures before the registration process.
The Unions director also noted that promises by the concerned kindergartens administration will not solve the problem. For her, the sector needs a strategy to organize this sector.
Number of children who are enrolled in kindergartens reached 16,000 children, as well as 4,000 registered in the kindergarten affiliated to the private schools.
