Morocco steel workers continue their open-ended work stoppage

MOROCCO— The steel company workers in Morocco continued their open-ended work stoppage, calling on the administration to meet their demands.

Striking workers said the administration closed doors to dialogue, which prompted up to 1,466 to go on strike.

Workers demands include raising their wages, compensating them for night shifts and work-related hazards and stopping discrimination at work.

In a statement issued by the Companys trade union, it said the administration laid off 13 workers of the union members.

This prompted the companys workers to escalate measures and address the government to interfere and solve their problems.
