MAURITANIA— The General Confederation of Mauritanian Workers (GCMW) strongly condemned the dismissal of workers representatives at “Tasiast Mauritanie Limited” Company and the endorsement of this decision by the minister of labour.
According to the Confederation, the only reason for this move is their membership with the Confederation.
The workers body also said this move violates the Labour Law and the ILO Conventions number (87) and (98).
