Literacy teachers calls for reconsidering the program’s closure

MAURITANIA—The literacy teachers in Mauritania called on the government to reconsider the closure of the program and develop it instead.

The concerned teachers also called on authorities to fulfil their promises and find a solution for those who were laid off after signing contracts with them.

They also renewed their demands calling on the Minister of Islamic Affairs to accelerate the process of merging literacy teachers in the public sector.
