Palestine – Palestinian High Court of Justice Postponed its decision to the appeal submitted by the Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions against the Palestinian Ministry of Labor and the Palestinian Monetary Authority’s actions and decisions relating to halt all bank accounts of the associations and trade unions two months ago. until the 14th of june.
This came in the third session of the court, which was held at the courthouse in Ramallah
to give the prosecution a notice to submit its statement.
Commenting on the decision sources from the legal department at the Union said that the decision is contrary to the article 62 of the Palestinian Code of trial because the prosecutions required statement was not enclosed with its Reply within one week after the first session of the court, which took place on the 19 and 31 of May.
It is worth mentioning that the request submitted Palestinian Ministry of Labor and the Palestinian Monetary Authority to freeze the unions accounts has been implemented since the fifteenth of March and is still effective, the decision has negative repercussions on trade unions work and programs in particular those related to the rights and salaries of its employees according to sources from unions leadership.
