Lebanon: Employer Throws her Kenyan Domestic Worker in Front of her Country’s Embassy, a Lebanese Woman Causes Widespread Public Anger

Lebanese activists circulated a video clip of a woman arriving in her luxury car to meet her domestic helper on the street in front of the Kenyan Consulate in the capital, Beirut, due to the exacerbation of the living crisis in the country, and the absence of any legal or social insurance for foreign domestic workers.

The video clip showed a group of workers chasing the woman while she was driving her luxury car, and the video taken by a passer-by was widely circulated on social networks, showing the poor domestic helper crying because she was unable to do anything, while the anger of other workers in the place flared up as they denounced the lady’s behavior towards their citizenship. Suddenly she found herself without work or shelter.

Many people demanded the persecution of the Lebanese woman in court, especially after the camera detected the number of her mining car, while others blamed the policemen who did not move a finger while watching everything take place.
