In cooperation with the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the Federation of Swedish Trade Unions, the General Federation of Palestinian Trade Unions launched, on Saturday, the city of Qalqilya, a campaign to distribute sterilizers and masks in favor of workers.
Commenting on the campaign, the Secretary-General of the General Federation of Palestine Workers Trade Union Shaher Saad said that the campaign included the distribution of sterilizers, masks and gloves to workers in different sectors, in addition to providing preventive leaflets concerning COVID-19.
Saad also indicated that the campaign will include all governorates, targeting nearly 70.000 workers from the agriculture, construction, health, and public services sectors, stressing that the extent to which workers adhere to preventive safety and health measures is what determines their survival on top of their work. Hence, workers must adhere to these instructions for their safety and for the preservation of their source of strength and work.
