Tunisia: Workers of STIP factory for rubber tires resume their protests and block the road

The tension among the workers of the Tunisian rubber company STIP has escalated. They resumed their protests in reaction to the procrastination of the supervisory authority and the parties involved to find a solution to their situations and settle them.

“Ridha Sassi”, the general secretary of the foundations union, clarified that in light of the escalation of the social tension and congestion over the closure of the company STIP for more than 8 months and the procrastination in solvingworkersproblem,workers launched this protest movement, whichcannot be prevented from cutting off the road.

On Thursday morning, workers of the “STIP” company were very outraged. As a result, they closed the road linking “Sousse and Kairouan governorates, burning rubber wheels.
