On Monday, dozens of fishermen in the area of Al-Mikas in the province of Alexandrialaunched a protest because of the repetitive decisions to prevent fishing at sea during the past few weeks and the sudden decisions of prevention without warning. This led to the destruction of their nets that were set in the sea before the issuance of the ban, in addition to thecontinuation of this decision of prevention for long days without convincing reasons.
Fishermen called on setting a timetable based on scientific predictions by the meteorological authority of the state of wind and sea, instead of random decisions, which depend on the mood of the issuer.
