The Minister of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fishing in Tunisia announced that a ministerial council will be convened to approve the regulatory order regarding the process of organizing the transfer of female peasant workers and the conditions for that.
The Minister explained that this matter concerns the creation of a new transfer category: “the transfer of the peasantry”.
This law stipulates, in particular, that the transfer of peasant workers is a service for irregular public transport for people. Tariffs are fixed by calculating the seat and the distance traveled.
The same tax privileges approved for cars intended for rural transport apply to vehicles intended for the transportation of peasant workers.
It is noteworthy that during the last five years, Tunisia recorded road accidents that were caused by the arbitrary transportation of peasant workers, which caused the death of 40 workers and had wounded more than 520 others.
