Egypt: The government continues to besiege independent unions and puts pressure on workers to join the governments General Union

In its latest report, the Trade Union Services revealed that the Egyptian government is still exerting pressure on independent trade unions through administrative decisions, most of which concerned the suspension of joining trade unions as members and the evacuation of their trade union headquarters.

The report pointed out that these decisions do not depart from the essence of exerting pressure on workers to withdraw from their independent trade unions and join the General Federation of Trade Unions of Egypt, the government trade union.
